Accessibility Statement

Standard we work to

JS Medical Equipment aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines are the reference point used by the US Department of Justice for websites subject to the Americans with Disabilities Act, and by Section 508 for federal procurement.

Conformance is assessed against the site as published at https://jsmedicalequip.com, and is reviewed whenever a substantial change is made to page templates, forms or navigation.

Measures in place

• Semantic landmarks (banner, navigation, main, contentinfo) on every page so assistive technology can skip directly to content.
• A visible "Skip to main content" link as the first focusable element on every page.
• All interactive controls reachable and operable by keyboard, with a high-contrast focus indicator that is never suppressed.
• Text and interface colours checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios; brand blue is not used for small text on dark backgrounds.
• Every form field bound to a visible label, with required fields marked in text as well as colour, and errors described in words.
• Descriptive alternative text on informational images; decorative icons marked aria-hidden so they are not announced.
• Data tables use header cells with scope attributes and a caption describing the table content.
• Motion and parallax effects respect the operating system "reduce motion" preference.
• Page structure uses a single H1 with a logical heading order beneath it, so heading navigation works as expected.
• The site reflows to a single column at 320 CSS pixels wide and supports 200% text zoom without loss of content.

Assessment approach

Pages are checked with automated tooling on every template change, and reviewed manually using keyboard-only navigation and a screen reader. Automated tools catch roughly a third of real barriers, so manual review is the part we treat as authoritative.
